Glide through Winter’s Wonderland: XC Skiing Adventures Await!
Nestled amidst the serene landscape of the Nicolet National Forest, Afterglow Resort offers exclusive cross-country skiing trails covering 251 acres of rolling wooded terrain in Northern Wisconsin. Unlike other trails, we maintain strict guidelines allowing only skis on our meticulously groomed paths, ensuring the best possible experience with 100 grooming sessions per season.
Ski through miles of picturesque woodlands in perfect tranquility, thanks to our snowbelt location that ensures reliable snowfall from December to March, often receiving ‘lake effect’ snow from Lake Superior. Situated between Sylvania Wilderness and Anvil Trail Ski Trail in Eagle River, our location provides easy access to nearby trails while offering a peaceful escape for an unparalleled cross-country skiing adventure.
Snow Tubing & Snowshoeing
Embrace winter fun with our snow tubing and snowshoeing activities!
Snow Tubing:
Experience the thrills of our tubing hill, featuring a 300-foot slide down to the lake, ending with a 75-foot drop. Our Afterglow shuttle service takes guests to the top for an hour of tubing fun daily.
Snowshoeing:
Explore 9 miles of marked winter trails and embrace the tranquility of the snowy landscape. Perfect for all skill levels, our groomed trails offer a serene and safe experience for nature enthusiasts seeking a winter adventure.
